What are Related Projects?
The Related Projects feature allows project owners to identify and link similar projects in the system. Linked projects appear in the project’s details section and display the status of the linked project(s) as well as a navigational link to quickly jump from one project to another.
Execution of the linked projects remains independent. References and links to related projects are provided as a type of project management tool and a way to quickly navigate from project to project.
Who can use Related Projects?
All users with the ability to view project details will see the related projects that were linked. They may also have permission to edit the list of related projects.
Users with the ability to edit a project (e.g. project owners and/or project managers) have the ability to add or remove related projects.
Exploring Related Projects
A list of Related Projects links is displayed as part of the project details. To access project details, select the ‘Project Details’ toolbar button 
in the upper right side of the screen. The project details panel will open, displaying high level project information, project attributes, and a list of related projects.
In the screenshot below we can see that the current project “Camp Demo 1” has three related projects. The status of each of the related projects is displayed, and clicking on the project name will bring the user directly to that project.
Adding Related Projects
To relate additional projects to the current project, click the <edit> button in the Related Projects Title Bar within Project Details.
When the ‘Related Projects’ dialogue appears, type in the name of the project you would like to add to the Related Projects list. As you type, a filtered list of matching projects will appear.
Select one or more projects from the list and click OK to add the project(s) to the Related Projects list.
The selected project(s) will appear in the Related Projects section within Project Details.
Removing Related Projects
To remove a project from the Related Projects list, hover over the project in the Related Projects section and click on the trash-can icon 
. You will be prompted to verify you wish to remove the project from the list.
Related Projects Tips
Holding the <ctrl> key when selecting projects to add to the related projects list will leave the filtered project selection dialog open, allowing you to select multiple projects with similar names in one easy step.
